Water hyacinth is an invasive weed which completely cover
lakes and wetlands, outcompeting native aquatic species, reducing oxygen levels
for fish, and creating ideal habitat for disease-carrying mosquitoes. Large
infestations of water hyacinth can prevent river transport, fishing, damage
bridges, and clog dams. it is a
huge challenge to eradicate these invasive species. We ecogreenunit developed
an innovative technology to remove water hyacinth and by processing the stems
in a low cost technology , its been converted as mats and utility handi crafts.
This is a wealth out of waste concept and self employment with sustainable
concepts were we train rural women folk and the entrepreneurs in this eco friendly and bio degradable concepts
