Training programme for Micro Greens,Beekeeping,Alovera Cultivation,vettiver cultivation conducted at Chennai on 09th May 2026

 




A comprehensive training programme on Microgreens Growing, Beekeeping, Aloe Vera Cultivation, and Vetiver Cultivation was successfully conducted on 9th May 2026 at Chennai. The programme brought together participants interested in sustainable agriculture, herbal cultivation, and eco-friendly livelihood opportunities.

A Community-Based Microgreens Processing Unit was successfully launched in Kanyakumari with the objective of promoting sustainable nutrition, local entrepreneurship, and livelihood development. The initiative aims to empower local communities, women, and youth through the cultivation, processing, and marketing of fresh and healthy microgreens.

The processing unit will support the production of nutrient-rich microgreens using eco-friendly cultivation methods and modern processing techniques. The project is expected to create employment opportunities, encourage urban and terrace farming practices, and improve awareness about healthy food habits among the public.

The launch programme highlighted the importance of community participation, sustainable agriculture, and value-added food production in strengthening local economies. The initiative also serves as a model for promoting green entrepreneurship and self-reliance through small-scale agri-based enterprises.

The session provided hands-on training in value-added vetiver products and small-scale soap manufacturing techniques, encouraging women to explore eco-friendly entrepreneurship opportunities.
