A Stall exposure for banana fibre & its by products was in Mohanur Namakkal district were the banana growing areas are in large scale.Hon'ble Thiru Veerapandi Arumugam,Agriculture Minister ,Govt Of Tamil Nadu,Visited our stall and appreciated our efforts in Banana fibre sector.

The first order for paper bags in 2011 was placed by Thiru Shahabudeen,a social worker at coimbatore

Our Paper bags made out of Banana fibre was displayed at a hyper market "Mantri Mall"in Bengaluru,Karnataka.Particularly this exposure will reach out the people to use ecofreindly products which is made out of agro waste and wood free pulp.We thank Government of karnataka in this regard.

Yes.......... there was a Global Conference on Banana at Trichy which it was organized by National Research Centre for Banana [ICAR] on 10th to 13th Dec 2010 which covered all issues in Banana growing sector.2000 Paricipants from India and abroad participated.Our stall was there in this massive event.Participants was very eager to know about Banana Fibre Extraction Machinery and Usage of Banana fibre.

Special camp for Artisan Credit Card Scheme .........

Special camp for Artisan Credit Card Scheme was done by 0/0 Development Commissioner ,Handicrafts,Ministry of Textiles ,Govt Of India in Coimbatore On 03.11.2010.The function was innaugurated by Thiru V.Suresh.AGM.NABARD.and various schemes for artisans from banking sector was explained by him.Handi Crafts Asst Director Thiru Gurumoorthy briefed about the welfare schemes and marketing support for the artisans from O/0 Development Commissioner,Handi Crafts,Govt Of India.Bank officers from various nationalized banks explained about the Artisan credit card loans for the artisans.500 Women Artisans took part in this programme.

Training on Banana Fibre Crafts for Rural Women groups......

The Training on Banana fibre crafts was given for women Groups in and around coimbatore ,the eligible candidates was identified by women studies department ,Krishnammal college for women in Coimbatore.50 women were selected from various Self Help Groups and the training was given on

Extracting Banana fibre from the trunk of theBananaTree.Combing,Boiling,Colouring,Twisting,Thread Making,various types of Articles like Mats,coasters,floor mats,door mats ,bags making etc.This particular training Programme will be useful for the trainees who can earn money through making of Banana fibre crafts which has huge potential and demand in domestic and overseas markets.The Programme was done by Ecogreenunit & Krishnammal College for Women at Coimbatore.
