An impactful awareness programme was successfully conducted at Don Bosco, Thirukalukundram for rural women, focusing on sustainable livelihood opportunities. More than 300 rural women actively participated and gained practical knowledge in various income-generating activities.
The programme covered Areca Leaf Plate Making, Banana Fibre Craft & Mat Making, Coir Pots Preparation, Vettiver Cultivation, and Vettiver Handicrafts Making. Experts provided hands-on guidance and explained the market potential and entrepreneurial opportunities in these sectors.
The initiative aimed at empowering rural women with eco-friendly, low-investment business models that can enhance household income and promote sustainable development. The enthusiastic participation reflected the growing interest among women to become self-reliant entrepreneurs.
