Office Cum training centre opening at Kanchi Puram

An Office cum training Centre for Areca leaf plates project/Banana fibre project/Handi Crafts/paper bag making/bee keeping was opened at Kanchi Puram on 18.12.11.Particularly it will focus on Self Help Group Women/Entrepreneurs/Farmers to promote them in above mentioned activites and improve their livly hood activites through our projects.

There was a function in Tiruppur,regarding handicrafts,The programme was conducted and sponsored by O/o Development Commissioner Handi crafts,Salem office, The programme was innaugurated by the District Collector Shri Madivanan IAS.Near about 200 artisans were presented ,DDM,Nabard,LDM,Tiruppur,GM,District Industries Centre were presided the function.ECOGREENUNIT was honoured by the District Collector for its efforts in Handi Crafts Sector.

AGRI INTEX,CODISSIA,COIMBATORE

The Mega Agricultural Event was conducted by TNAU&CODISSIA at Trade fair complex
in Coimbatore from 28th to 31st july .Ecogreenunit exhbited a stall for agrobased areca leaf plates and banana fibre projects and show cased the by products.Near about 1,50,000 farmers visited the fair and gained the knowledge in latest technologies in the agri cultural sector.Mr.Ayyapan ,Director General,ICAR,New Delhi was the cheif guest,Mr.Murgesa Boopathi,Vice Chancellor ,Tamil Nadu agricultural university with the chief guest visited our TNAU office and appreciated our projects.

Its a on going programme up to 13.03.11

Areca leaf plates training for unemployed youth in north eastern india........

Areca leaf plates training for unemployed youth in north eastern india was organized by Neitco[North Eastern industiral technical training institute]&Ecogreenunit at Guwahati in assam on oct 2010.The unemployed youth from all over north east [250 persons]participated.Areca leaves is an agrowaste which is shreaded from the areca nut trees converted as a value added products in south india.Due to North East its a New Project ,more over the raw materials are available in plenty due to vast area of areca nut plantations in entire North East.EcoGreenunit has taken an initiative to promote this particular project in entire North East.The training was given on identifying of raw material,Soaking and cleaning of the raw material,Technical Know-how,making of plates ,marketing the finished products etc.The Goverments of Assam,Manipur,Megalaya,Mizoram,Nagaland,Tripura,Arunachal Pradesh,Sikkim are intrested in implementing the areca leaf project by providing the self employment.Banks are intrested to give loans for such kind of ecofreindly projects in North East.EcoGreenUnit Team has finalized the discussions with the Governments to start the project in north east and its an on going programme .......
