An impactful International Women's Day celebration and orientation programme was successfully conducted at Poosaripatti, bringing together over 200 women participants.
The session focused on creating awareness and opportunities in sustainable livelihood sectors. Participants were introduced to various eco-friendly and income-generating activities such as areca leaf plate making, banana fibre extraction and handicrafts, coir pot production, vettiver cultivation and value-added products, aloe vera farming, and microgreens cultivation techniques. The programme also emphasized the importance of marketing linkages to ensure better income and business growth.
The initiative empowered women with practical knowledge and skills, encouraging them to explore entrepreneurship and become self-reliant. It served as a strong platform to promote sustainable rural development and women-led enterprises.
