A panel discussion on “Unlocking Tourism Opportunities in Pollachi through Educational Institutions and Industries: Potential, Challenges and Sustainable Development” was held at AKSHAYA College, Kinathukadavu, bringing together representatives from academia, industry, and the tourism sector.
The panel included:

Tmt. R. Jagadeeswari – District Tourism Officer, Department of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu
Ecogreenunit Foundation participated in the discussion, contributing to the dialogue on sustainable tourism, rural livelihood development, and opportunities to strengthen the connection between local communities, educational institutions, and industries.
The discussion explored Pollachi’s potential for eco-tourism, agricultural tourism, rural tourism, and community-based tourism. It emphasised the need for collaborative initiatives that promote local culture, protect natural resources, generate employment, and create sustainable income opportunities for rural communities.
