Ecogreenunit Foundation has initiated a skill development training programme for women’s groups in Palakkad on vetiver mat weaving and eco-friendly footwear making, marking the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, a day that symbolises self-reliance, rural empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.
The programme aims to empower women through hands-on training in traditional craftsmanship, natural materials, and value-added vetiver products. It seeks to create opportunities for women entrepreneurs to develop marketable products, generate sustainable income, and promote environmentally friendly alternatives.
By connecting local resources, skill development, and marketing support, Ecogreenunit Foundation continues to advance women’s empowerment, rural entrepreneurship, and a circular economy.
“Empowering Women, Creating Livelihoods, Building a Greener Future.”
