A 3-Day Hands-on Training Programme on Banana Fibre Craft Making and Vetiver Handicrafts was successfully conducted from 28th to 30th March 2026 at Karunguzhi, Mathuranthagam Taluk.
The programme was specially organized for women who were already trained in these sectors, focusing on advanced craftsmanship, product development, finishing techniques, and quality enhancement. The sessions also covered branding, packaging, and effective marketing strategies to promote and sell their handmade products.
The training strengthened women entrepreneurs by enhancing their skills from craft production to market linkage, encouraging sustainable income generation and self-reliance.
